OK, i have heard that there has been a few stories that may have been exaggerated. I have heard that some people think that i shot myself in the head. So i decided that i should set the record straight.
I decided to go shooting with Dan and a few friends from church. we were shooting at clay pigeons and water bottles. well, i kind of knelt down to aim at a water bottle about 100 yards away. and right before i pulled the trigger my leg slipped on and i fell forward a little. so the gun fired it recoiled and the scope hit me in the head.
it was bleeding pretty good and we didn't have anything to stop it. so we used the leg part of Dan's sock.
we went to a clinic and got stitches. i believe the count was 8 stitches.
so there you have it. yes i am an idiot, and i know how dumb that was. but hey, chicks dig scars!!!........... right?

Doesn't surprize me. D, you have a lot of stories like this you could tell. :) Ha ha
da
I just talked to you earlier that day! How does this happen. Nathaniel agrees, chicks dig scars, but you need some serious help with your story. At least you can laugh and share your crazy life with those who love you :)
And I really appreciate the fact that when you called to tell me you started with "I didn't get shot" But I must admit I wasn't so nice when I told Matt - oh well, I thought it was funny - glad your ok-Love you lots
Sounds like something I would have done. Glad you're Ok Matt
That's kind of a creepy picture. Silly Darren. I told George that you got hurt going shooting, and he guessed that you did exactly what you did. Apparently it's more common than you'd think. Maybe you should stick with "Duck Hunt". It's safer.
Dude...you're awesome. Later today I am going to go outside and shot myself in the head to get a similiar scar, but I think mine will be on the neck instead of the ear so it looks more Vietnam era. What do you think?
Here's how to convert your story: "So I was out shooting rifles with some of my friends and the recoil was strong enough to graze my forehead. I got eight stitches."
That's all you need man.
So Cristy and I started our own blog! Our first few posts were terrible but we hope they get better soon!
